2007 Florida NBL State Championship Season
Welcome riders to the 2007 Florida NBL State Championship Season.  The season will start on November 1, 2006 with the first qualifier at Sarasota BMX November 11 & 12, 2006.

Qualifications
1.)
It takes 8 races to qualify for the Championship Race. (Note, a rider's chance of earning a number plate is limited with just 8 races. Local racing starts this year on November 1st.
2.)To have the best chance of earning a State Number Plate, a rider must race a minimum of 8 Florida races (single points) plus 3 Qualifiers (double points) plus the Championship Race (double points).
3.)In the event a rider has more than 8 Florida races and more than 3 Qualifiers - only the 8 best single point races and 3 best double point qualifiers will count.
4.)
Points from the Qualifiers CAN NOT be exchanged for a single point race.
5.)
Riders participating at any of Florida's NBL National Races from November to May can count those National races as local races.
6.)
Non-qualifying riders can participate at the Championship Race in the Open Class only for the award of the day. 
7.)
All riders who race the Championship Race and were qualified will receive a number plate and trophy at the award ceremony.
8.)
Profiency move up awards for Rookie and Novice riders will be frozen as of April 1, 2007.
9.)
All classes will have a main event (local and Qualifiers).
10.)
Up to 8 riders will always transfer to the main event.
11.)
3 riders are required to make a class for all proficiencies.
12.)
Riders will only race in their own proficiency (such as Novice to Novice and Expert to Expert)

1.)
 There are two categories of teams as follows.
Money Teams - $150.00 purse plus 100% payback
State Teams - Trophy Awards

Participant Awards
Any rider who races 25 or more races during the season will receive a special award the day of the race.  A rider who races 25 races in the two classes will receive 2 awards, if both classes combined only total 25 races, the rider receives 1 award.  Rider must be qualified in both classes.  State Qualifiers and Florida NBL Nationals will each count as one race.

 Awards for Qualifiers
Plaques will be given to each competitor at the rider's first earned award starting in November 2006.  Place plates are given to a rider thereafter.  Participation plates and ribbons will be given to all competitors who do not place at each race.  Plaques will be given to any rider who participates at all qualifiers but never earns a place award at the end of the season.  It is the riders responsibility to pick up his/her plaque as soon as it is earned.

Elite Open Series - July 1, 2006

Elite Open Class Money Series  & Elite Women Money Series
Qualifications:  A rider must race 7 races during the 2006 Sunshine State Summer Series and 2007 State Championship Season plus the state Championship Race.  This starts with the St. Cloud BMX race in September 2006.
Points:  Same as NBL national point program.

Ranking:  Your best 7 races in the series plus the 2007 Championship Race.
Awards:  Money purses at all State Qualifiers.  Overall winners will receive money based on attendance.

Elite Open Class Plate Series  & Elite Women Plate Series
Qualifications:  A rider must race 4 Qualifiers During the 2007 State Championship Season plus the Championship Race.
Ranking:  Your best 4 races in the series plus the 2007 Championship Race.
Points:  Same as NBL national point program.

2007 Amateur Class Series - Starts July 1, 2006
The amateur rookie, novice, expert, girl, and cruiser ricers can earn a special award by racing 45 local races from July 1, 2006 to May 1, 2007.  Several nice prizes will be given at a drawing at the State Championship Race.
