Saturday, Day 1

The First Lady of BMX in Florida, Shawnda Shaughnessy.	Profile's Percy Owens (63) and J&R's Jason Bennett (3) side by side on the second straight in the opening round of Pro motos.	Cassie Watts, Madison Pitts, and Kelly Hutto wait for their Elite Women's moto at the top of the starting hill.	22-29 Expert Juan Cordona gets some air over the second straight step up.
This can't be good. Fred Lintz (416) about to take a fall as David Bevins (706) has problems of his own.	Track Director Bob Alexander blows some of the dust off of the first corner. The track stayed in great shape all weekend.	Bike Pro's Javier Gonzalez heads toward the second straight in front of the other 22 -29 Novice riders..	In a moment Eric Morciglio will hook a pedal and take a dive on the asphalt. A pair of gloves would have been nice.
Aftershock's Ryan Stubbs pulled down a pair of firsts in the 6 Rookie motos, and a fifth place in the main.	Ace rider Mike Sandford had three straight wins in 45-49 Cruiser.	Melissa Gremal and Kelly Hutto in the second round of Elite Women motos.	Extreme Cycle's Daniel Ramos (819) gets a little siedways beside MCS's Jeff DeVito (11) in this 40-44 Cruiser moto.
6 Rookies Robie Ruebel (553) and Alec Powell (R7) close in on the finish line.	Joey Leto had the perfect day, winning all of his 5 & Under rookie motos and the main.	A common sight during the weekend was MCS's Amanda Geving being chased by Rite Bike's Madison Pitts. This time it was in 14-17 Girl Cruisers.	Shag Shaughnessy has some company in the starting tower.
Profile's Chris Fernandez was fast out of the gate, but six months away from the track found him running out of gas at the finish line.	Some tight racing into the first corner. J&R's Garrett Lanzilotta (734) and SBR's Tyler Lirio (741) battle at the end of the first straight.	Rich Montalvo of Trend Multimedia videos the action coming out of the first corner. Rich has posted videos of the Elite Mains for FloridaBMX.com visitors.	Ashley Edstrand made an impressive showing in her Florida Elite Women debut.
Another racer making her Pro debut was Supercross Xtrskin's Staci Woodrum.	Bill Young (1) and ONE's Chris Codol (6) tear it up on the third straight.	Josh Phillips (707) stays out in front of Joe Mathis (35) in this 18-21 Expert moto.	MJ Peters at the front of the pack. MJ won all of his 18-21 Expert motos and took seventh in the main.
J&R's Mike Kapes (3) about to be passed by the Force ride of Thomas Cane (648).	6 Rookie Toby Daw rides for one of the newer Florida teams, WFO.	A popular addition to the Summer Series races was a break before the mains to do a little dancing at the finish line.	Looking relaxed as he waits in staging is MCS's Jonathan ' Mosquito' Suarez. Suarez led wire to wire in Saturday's Elite Men's main.

The two put on a great show in Saturday's main	The racing was close at the first corner, but MCS's Amanda Geving and Rite Bike's Madison Pitts would be the ones battling for the win. Geving crossed the finish line first in the Elite Women's main.	10 Expert Maliek Byndloss stretches out his lead over Tanner South in their main on Day 1.
