SSA General Assembly Meeting
INFORMATION & INVITATION
Come have some fun, play at the Waterpark and learn at the same time. We go over the same things that the NBL does, but with a little different style and a Florida laid back attitude. Florida Competition Congress will be held at the Clarion Resort & Waterpark in Kissimmee, FL. Everyone who plans on attending MUST complete their own registration form by June 1st, 2008, and mail, fax or email to Tammi Geary @ tammi@geary.net . It is IMPORTANT that I have all registrations by that date, so we can order T-shirts. The registration form will be posted on www.floridabmx.com and copies will also be mailed to each Florida track.
WHEN: June 21st & 22nd, 2008
Registration will start on Friday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will start again at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday. Congress will convene at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 21st, 2008. The SSA will provide coffee, bagels, danish & muffins to get our day started. At noon we will break for Lunch (provided by SSA). Afternoon classes will be from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. The clerking course will be taught by Alice Bixler, SSA Clerk of Course and Scoring by Kathy Bostrom, Florida State Points Keeper. The Officials training will be taught by John Pingol, SSA President, Jim Szasz, SSA Vice President and Steve Doan, Florida State Race Commissioner. Sunday, we will start the day with a full breakfast in the dining-room, tickets will be given when you sign in. We will reconvene Congress at 10:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. Before Congress adjourns, there will be an open forum where you may ask questions of the SSA Board or any NBL Representative that may be present. As in the past, an auction will follow. We will have 50/50 and door prizes too! The dress code should be casual and comfortable, as you will be sitting indoors most of the time.
Room rates are $89.00 per night. You must ask for the FL. SSA Meeting rate. Hotel deadline is June 1st, 2008. Please make your reservations right away to ensure your hotel room under our special rate.
Congress is for everyone to share their knowledge and experience, while learning/reviewing the rules, so that all attending may receive their officials’ license.

We encourage members to bring their families this year and while you attend the seminars your children will be able to play at the waterpark, however only the member attending congress will be provided with breakfast and lunch on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday.
